NTFS Partition Mount As Read Only

If you cannot edit files in your linux machine and get a “read-only” error. Here is the fix:

Open up your terminal, and type:

sudo ntfsfix /dev/sdxX

Not: You need to modify “sdxX” with the name you see for your drive. You can see it by poing to “Disks” software in your computer.

In some cases, you might need to reboot the computer after running the script.
